Nice day yesterday going 5-1 +36.95 units in the college football and 4-0-1 +22.00 units in the college hoops (9-1-1 +58.95 units!!!) Here are today plays.

10 Units Baltimore Ravens -3 +105

How about this: The 49er are 5-1 at home and 0-5 on the road (1-3-1 ATS)!!! That's the deal with this strange team: They get fired up at home and look awful on the road. The main reason is offense: San Fran is getting outscored by a 23-14 average on the road (The offense averages 28 ppg when at home). In fact, the last four road games the 49ers have scored 7, 19, 13 and 10 points! So, do you think they'll score over 20 against Baltimore's defense??? Probably not, though 49ers QB Jeff Garcia is expected to start. On the other hand, what on earth is going on with the Ravens' defense??? Baltimore gave up 41 points and 426 yards last week at home to Seattle -- yet, they won the game, 44-41, to keep their playoff hopes alive (although they were very lucky). The Ravens defense should be able to contain a poor 49ers offense and Baltimore is 4-1 SU/2-1-1 ATS at home where the offense averages 27.4 ppg. All in all, this looks like an easier win for the Ravens than last week's thriller!!!

7 Units New England Patriots OVER 43 -107

Since opening the season with a flat 31-0 loss at Buffalo, the Patriots are 9-1 SU and 8-1-1 ATS. They've been living on the edge a lot, with close wins over the Broncos, Browns, Dolphins and Texans. Their run might come to an end here against a strong all-around Colts team. The Pats are 4-2 SU/3-2-1 ATS on the road where they're scoring and allowing 20 ppg. The Colts (9-2 SU & 7-3-1 ATS) are on a roll with a terrific passing offense (28 points, 277 passing yards per game). Seven of the last eight Colts games have gone OVER the total and despite the good defense, there will be a lot of passes this game. Neither team can run the ball, so look for a wide-open air battle between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and a lot of points!!!

5 Units Seattle Seahawks -6 -111

Well the Seahawks certainly won't be in a good mood after last week's meltdown in Baltimore. Yes, it's true that the officials helped the Ravens, but the Seahawks allowed QB Anthony Wright and a one-dimensional Baltimore offense to get 44 points and over 400 yards??? These guys aren't ready for prime time, let alone the playoffs. However, the Seahawks return home here and you must remember that Seattle is 6-0 at home where it outscores teams by a 25-16 average. The Seahawks defense gives up 10 points more per game on the road than at home. As I saw last week, they are a different team at home than on the road. Cleveland is a bad team no matter where they play (4-7 SU/ATS). They looked lost at home last week, losing 13-6 to Pittsburgh as a favorite. Seattle won't have any defensive troubles this week as the Browns average just 92 rushing yards and 190 passing yards per game (16.8 points pg). Seattle likes to establish the run first, and Cleveland is only average against the run (116 yds rushing allowed pg). This shapes up as a dull, one-sided game!!!

5 Units Denver Broncos -3 -106

The Broncos dominated the Bears last week, with a total yardage edge of 365-217. Denver had 200 yards rushing and averaged 9.5 yds per carry while the pitiful Bears averaged 3.2 yds per carry. The final score??? Chicago won 19-10 at Denver, another shocker in a strange season for the Broncos. The kicker is that Denver didn't even turn the ball and lost to Kordell Stewart. Either this team will give up on the season or come out fired-up and roll over the defenseless Raiders. The game was 18 degrees with a chilly wind, which played a factor, though that won't be the temperature this game. Oakland (3-8 SU & 2-8-1 ATS) played hard against the Chiefs last week, but this defense is just terrible. The Raiders allow 147 yards rushing, 218 yards passing per game. With the disappointing season over, they are down to their third-string QB (Rick Mirer). Denver is still alive for the playoffs, though they suffered a severe blow last week and it's the Wild Card they're chasing. RB Clinton Portis will have another huge game here and QB Jake Plummer should tear apart a lazy Raiders' 'D'!!!

Good luck today my friends,

I made plays on Baltimore and New England as well.My analyis pointed to Denver, but I have not played them yet.I have no opinion on the Seattle game after their secondary got torched last week.Looks like the Pats will get you off to a good start.Good luck.

5 Units Chicago Bears -4 -106

The Cardinals (R: 0-5 SU, ATS) defense has been a sieve on the road, giving up 35 ppg with Arizona scoring just 14 ppg. Sunday, the Cardinals scored 17 straight points and took the lead in the fourth quarter before losing to the surging Rams 30-27 to end a two game home winning streak. QB Jeff Blake completed 15-of-28 passes for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns with two interceptions. Da Bears pulled the upset of the week when they pulled out a 19-10 win in Denver for their first road win of the year behind hard-luck QB Kordell Stewart. Stewart may see more action, as QB Chris Chandler (shoulder) is hurting and is questionable. At home, the Bears are a respectable 3-2 SU, 4-1 ATS and have outscored opponents 22-21. Looks like a high scoring game in the Chicago cold, which might not sit well with the boys from Arizona!!!
